ATTORNEY PROFILE
Sam Wayne is committed to providing your business with the services you need, doing it with the dedication and hard work you deserve. He has had many opportunities to approach difficult problems from numerous angles and foster creative, productive and efficient solutions. After starting his career in solo practice, Sam joined a boutique business firm on Madison's west side, tackling difficult legal problems in both transactional and litigation settings. Highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit, when presented with an opportunity to take equity in a great new software company, Sam left the firm and started his solo practice again. He had previously worked for a summer at one of the nation's premier business law firms in New York City, in the Wisconsin Supreme Court chambers, and at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Sam is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. |

Sam sits on the board for the State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyers Division, whose missions are to develop young lawyers into succesful, ethical professionals, and to advocate for the interests of young lawyers and for access to justice for all of Wisconsin's citizens. He is a big brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County, a member of the professional and charitable group Madison Area Connectors, and has provided free estate planning services to police and firefighters and their families as part of the Wisconsin Wills for Heroes program.
Originally from New York State, Sam has lived in Madison for nine years with his wife Emilie, a local small-animal veterinarian. Of course they have pets - dogs Lucy and Willy and cat Daphne. In his free time, he enjoys his family, reading, all kinds of athletics (but especially soccer), live music, and the company of fun, interesting, and sincere people. He is proud to be a badger twice-over, and was fortunate to receive an Ivy League education. A natural leader with a head for business and a heart for people, he is proud of, humbled, and somewhat baffled by, the distinctions he has had the honor of accepting.
